  • You can take Hop-on Hop- off bus.  Last time the price is RM38. It goes to all interesting places in KL. (by Rosalina)
  • KL is good enough for 2-3 days. You should make time to go to Melaka (2 hours away) or Penang for a day or two. When in KL, make sure you go to Chinatown and eat at the sidewalk restaurants. Best in the world! (by Nino)
  • have a tropical rainforest experience in FRIM. only 20 minutes from KL city centre… (by Fadrul)
  • try to go in Genting..take the long cable car ride, after 1hour bus ride from KL..Putrajaya is nice and inspiring too..just around KL....stay in Bukit Bintang area if you'll just go around KL. enjoy! (by Reggie)
  • Got lots of  affordable motel/ guest houses at Bukit Bintang @ changkat street. U will love it if you're a food and night life person. There are lots of pubs and bars for selection.  Whole street of nice food for your choice too. Have a blast!! :) (by Syow)

Founded only in 1857 as a tin mining outpost, Kuala Lumpur is fairly new as far as Malaysian cities go and lacks the rich history of George Town or Malacca. After rough early years marked by gang fighting, Kuala Lumpur started to prosper and was made capital of the Federated Malay States in 1896. Malaysia's independence was declared in 1957 in front of huge crowds at what was later named Stadium Merdeka (Independence Stadium), and Kuala Lumpur continued as the new nation's capital.
